n8k99 · 1 year agoI have been doing pretty much the same thing lately, ok except for the command line control of exaile, and the xfce bit. but it has been quite a good compliment to the GNOME experience! Although I have noticed the playbac volume is a couple levels lower than my amarok output, so when I intend on using my super mobile notebook as a music device(read much more capable iPod) then I must use amarok it I want to hear it on the subway.

daveb · 1 year agoYour volume is lower with Exaile? If so, that's a bug with the new equalizer and is being worked on. It's easily fixed by disabling the feature. Launch Exaile with 'exaile --no-equalizer' and you'll see a big difference.
